The NordicBaltic Festival Platform was happy to announce its first ever fellowship programme in 2018. The pilot programme engaged 8 emerging festival leaders from across the Nordic-Baltic region. The fellows attended two 2-day sessions, with the first one taking place right before the annual NordicBaltic Festival Platform Conference (22-24 October 2018) in Gdansk, Poland (also included in the programme) and the second one in February in St Petersburg, Russia in February 2019 (including a networking event with Russian festivals).

In general, the sessions were in the form of open discussions where common challenges were identified, various topics elaborated (programming, marketing & communication, funding etc), as well as a development plan and regional strategy for each festival drawn up. This was done using everyone’s experience in the field, curated by experts from the region and beyond.

 

The programme was free of charge and all costs covered for the participants.
